Not all corners of Costa Rica are the same. Each province has its own specifics: from climate and standard of living, to infrastructure, access to services, safety or business opportunities.
In this section we have gathered real, detailed and locally verified information, to give you a clear picture of what it means to live, invest or visit each area.

After carefully exploring each province, I can say that the diversity of Costa Rica is absolutely amazing. It’s not a big country, but it has pretty much everything you could want: mountains, beaches, tropical forests, thermal waters, abundant biodiversity, and local communities with an authentic vibe.
Each province has its own charm and potential — there is no universal “perfect place,” but rather a variety of options, depending on what you’re looking for: adventure, tranquility, wildlife, or more developed infrastructure.
What remained clear to me is that, unlike other countries, here nature is not just a decoration, but is actually the main engine of life and tourism. This means that each region offers you experiences directly connected to the natural environment, but in different forms.
From my point of view, instead of rushing to see everything in a hurry, it’s better to choose a province, an area, and live it at its own pace. This way, you discover the true essence of the place, and your vacation or move becomes a memorable experience, not a race against time.
In short, Costa Rica is a country of well-preserved diversity, where simplicity and nature prevail and where every corner is worth exploring with respect and patience.
